HOW TO SPEAK ABOUT SPIRITUALITY WITH PATIENS WITH ADVANCED CANCER? USING PICTURES: A QUESTION OF METHOD
Main Article Content
Abstract
Over the past 30 years, the literature on spirituality within a healthcare context has grown and is now recognised as a new standalone field of research. This raises a new clinical issue: should we enter the spiritual realm to improve medical care? The aim of this article involves analyzing the ethical and epistemological issues underlying the recent medical interest in spirituality. Using a part of the results and the methodology of Nicolas PUJOL’s thesis, the following questions are developed: do we ought to talk about spirituality in healthcare settings? How to speak about spirituality in a research context? Which ethical tensions must be avoided?
