Submission Preparation Checklist

As part of the submission process, authors are required to check off their submission's compliance with all of the following items, and submissions may be returned to authors that do not adhere to these guidelines.
  • Declaro que o artigo é inédito não foi submetido a outro periódico, e não está sendo avaliada para pulicação por outra revista.
  • Os arquivos para submissão estão em formato Microsoft Word, OpenOffice ou RTF (desde que não ultrapassem 2MB)
  • URLs para as referências foram informadas quando necessário.
  • O texto está em espaço simples; usa uma fonte de 12-pontos; emprega itálico em vez de sublinhado (exceto em endereços URL); as figuras e tabelas estão inseridas no texto, não no final do documento, como anexos.
  • O texto segue os padrões de estilo e requisitos bibliográficos descritos em Diretrizes para Autores, na seção Sobre a Revista.
  • A identificação de autoria do trabalho foi removida do arquivo e da opção Propriedades no Word, garantindo desta forma o critério de sigilo da revista, caso submetido para avaliação por pares (ex.: artigos), conforme instruções disponíveis em Assegurando a Avaliação Cega por Pares.
  • Estou ciente de que ao ter um artigo aprovado para publicação na Revista E&G devo encaminhar, pelo Correio, a carta de cessão de direitos autorais assinada. Caso o autor pretenda publicar o artigo em livro ou outro veiculo deverá pedir permissão ao corpo editoria da Revista.

Author Guidelines

Publication norms - Economia & Gestão

  • Articles submitted to Economia & Gestão must be original;
  • The articles, including those of sections Teaching, Research and Learning, Political and Economic Scenario, Reflections and the interviews of section From the Executive’s Desk, must not exceed 18 pages, with the text in A4 (29,7 x 21 cm) format, single spacing, Times New Roman font, size 12, top and left margins of 3 cm, and bottom and right margins of 2 cm, justified;
  • Sections such as Research Notes and Reviews must contain around 1,500 words;
  • The submission norms for Teaching Case are contained in item “Submission norms for Teaching Case”;
  • The articles must contain Title in Portuguese and English; Abstract in Portuguese and English (maximum 15 lines), Key words in Portuguese and English (03 to 05);
  • The articles must not include the author(s) identification;
  • Tables, graphics and figures must be inserted in the text;
  • Notes must be in the end, sequentially numbered, before References;
  • Articles can be submitted in Portuguese, English or Spanish. Texts in Spanish must also include Resumem and Palabras llave;
  • Quotations from authors along the text must comply with the ABNT norms, comprising the author’s surname, year of publication and page number;
  • References must comply with the ABNT norms;
  • Economia & Gestão reserves the right to alter originals, according to the norms established above.
  • The journal reserves the right to refuse articles submitted for publication;
  • Accepted articles will not be published without the author(s) permission, the Copyright Statement. The total or partial reproduction of published articles is allowed, provided the source is mentioned;
  • Authors are fully responsible for their articles. Economia & Gestão, its editors and counselors do not take responsibility for opinions contained in the articles.

Submission norms for Teaching Case

  • The Caso de Ensino (Teaching Case) submitted to Economia & Gestão must be original and concern a corporate/management situation that stimulates discussion and reflection on approach alternatives;
  • Teaching Case must not exceed 18 pages, with text in A4 (29,7 x 21 cm) format, single spacing, Times New Roman font, size 12, top and left margins of 3 cm, and bottom and right margins of 2 cm, justified;
  • Teaching Case must include Title in Portuguese and in English; Abstract in Portuguese and in English (maximum 15 lines); Key words in Portuguese and in English (03 to 05);
  • Teaching Case must be submitted with the author(s)’ identification;
  • Tables, graphics and figures must be inserted in the text;
  • Teaching Case must include an item named Teaching Notes Synthesis, containing: field(s) of knowledge addressed by the case, form of data collection, pedagogic aims, target readers, and teaching strategy including reference to basic literature in order to reach the learning objectives;
  • Notes must appear in the end, sequentially numbered, before References;
  • References must comply with the ABNT norms;
  • The author(s) must send by mail an authorization of the organization focused in Teaching Case for its publication. The authorization is to be sent to the following address: Revista Economia & Gestão - Av. Itaú, nº 525 – Bairro Dom Cabral – CEP: 30535-012 - Belo Horizonte – MG - Brasil.

Artigos

Os artigos devem centrar-se, respectivamente, na reflexão e contribuição  teórica apoiada em referências bibliográficas relevantes e procedimentos metodológicos consistentes.

Caso de Ensino

A publicação de caso de ensino para uso pedagógico visa enriquecer o acervo de material didático.

Conjuntura Política-econômica

Trata-se de reflexão de especialistas sobre temas ou situações específicas que afetem a dinâmica do campo de conhecimento da Economia & Gestão.

Da Poltrona do Executivo

Seção destinada a entrevistas com executivos, gestores, empreendedores, professores e pesquisadores que se destacam em suas respectivas áreas de atuação.

Ensino, Pesquisa e Aprendizagem

Esta seção tem por objetivo difundir experiências e reflexões associados à prática docente.

Notas de Pesquisa

Compõe-se de síntese de trabalhos de pesquisa, incluindo-se monografias, dissertações e teses.

Reflexões / Ensaios

Ensaios que permitam a exposição de idéias sobre a área de conhecimento da Revista e que estimulem a interlocução entre pesquisadores.

Resenhas

Textos que trazem análise crítica de livros, teses, filmes e demais formas de comunicação sobre a área de conhecimento da Revista Economia & Gestão.
