The article explores Ruy Mauro Marini's concept of "sub-imperialism," focusing on Brazil and Israel as key examples during and after the Cold War. It assesses whether these nations remain sub-imperialist post-Cold War, examining shifts in US imperialism and its regional impacts, and the evolving roles of Brazil and Israel in South America and the Middle East.

Mestre, doutor e pós-doutor em Relações Internacionais pelo Programa de Pós Graduação San Tiago Dantas (UNESP, UNICAMP, PUC-SP). Professor do curso de Relações Internacionais da PUC-SP. Vice-líder do Grupo de Estudos de Conflitos Internacionais (GECI) da PUC-SP. Pesquisador do INCT/INEU (Instituto Nacional de Ciência e Tecnologia para Estudos sobre os Estados Unidos).
